In order to test the compatibility of specific models according to the used standards in a simple set-up before the integration in a more complex simulation environment enases later error hunting.
Thus a general open source simulation framework for testing models according to standard-compliant behavior was developed - the DLR Research Implementation.
It further allows for scenario exploration based on logical scenarios and in general for automotive research related to highly automated driving.
The model compatibility and format integrity check comprehends a FMI compliance check, a SSP schema check, an OpenDRIVE schema check, an OpenSCENARIO schema check and an OSI validation.
The simulation framework currently uses CARLA (http://carla.org/) as the main component of the simulation core.
